However, for your security, and the security of the building, access is controlled by your University ID card ...

Mon to Fri: after 18.00 and before 08.00
Sat and Sun: all day

and to the Study Centre
Mon to Fri: after 17.00 and before 08.45
Sat and Sun: all day

During restricted entry times use swipe units located by swing doors at both ends of the building as well as the entry door of the Study Centre.

Please check your ID card is working and report any problems to the Security Centre if you are unable to access the building or the facilities in study centre on the 2nd floor during restricted entry times.

Vending machines in Julian Hodge Building

Oct 12, 2010 by Dave Atkins

24-hour beverage vending machines are available in the JHB Lounge for anyone taking advantage of the study centre’s 24/7 opening hours.

Please note that drinks and other refreshments are not allowed in the study centre on the 2nd floor so please use the JHB Lounge to take a break and have a drink before returning to work at any of the open-access workstations.
