|MWE Help - News, hints, tips and advice for the MWE|
You know you are having a bad day when you all you want to do is run a simple search in your mailbox and you can't even find the search box. It would be like arriving at the Google home page to find their search box missing. However in CardiffMail, there is a little known setting that if unticked, forces your search box to disappear.
Now I'm as partial to a game of hide and seek as the next person but there's a time and a place, so let's look at where the CardiffMail preference that controls this bizarre behaviour lives.
- In CardiffMail Web click More > Preferences from the action bar.
- On the Basics tab, just above half way down the preferences screen there is an option labelled Enable full-text indexing for searching. Ensure that this option is ticked.
- If for any reason you decide to untick (turn off) this option, the Search box which is normally displayed at the top-right corner of the CardiffMail screen will not be displayed.
