First Official Meeting of the Student Charter Group

The 19th of August saw the first official meeting of the Student Charter group get off to a flying start. Representatives were there from University departments and the Students' Union to discuss exactly how Cardiff University were going to design and write up their charter. Consultation will be at the heart of this document which is to be a partnership between students and staff. The charter will also focus on the unique Cardiff University community and ensure that information and services provided to students are of a consistently high standard. These meetings will be taking place monthly so watch this space for updates on the work that will be happening and the opportunity for you to give your own views on what makes Cardiff special. Introduction

The University and the Students' Union are working together to create the Cardiff University Student Charter, setting out the responsibilities that the University will have toward its students and that students will have to the University. The charter will be created during the next academic year for publication in Summer 2012. During the next 12 months there will be consultation with students, staff and stakeholders to ensure that the Student Charter truly reflects the Cardiff University experience. Watch this space for draft documents, extra videos and for the chance to give your views in the process.
